International participants visited two key exhibitions at Wuhan University (WHU) on May 14 during the 2025 World Digital Education Conference in Wuhan.

Guests experienced advanced technologies firsthand: wearing VR headsets to learn Tai Chi through an immersive instructional system; observing bionic robotic fish that mimic real fish in appearance and movement, swimming autonomously and avoiding obstacles; and trying on virtual outfits with AI-driven clothing recommendations – all vivid demonstrations of China’s digital transformation in higher education.

James Crabbe, Fellow of Oxford University, United Kingdom, repeatedly watched the robotic fish demonstration. He praised its natural swimming motion and its value for both scientific research and public education, calling the Hubei digital education showcase "world-class and impressively diverse".
Abol Fazl Vahedi, deputy minister of Science, Research and Technology, Iran, shared:
"Chinese universities have achieved a high level in AI and network control systems, with many results already applied in practice." He expressed a desire to strengthen collaboration between Iranian and Chinese universities to advance educational technologies.
Jon Mason, from the College of Education at Charles Darwin University, Australia, said:
"The educational technology projects showcased by WHU are inspiring, especially how they integrate technology with human-centered education." He believes China‘s innovations in edtech offer valuable lessons for the world.
This visit highlighted China's leadership in educational technology and offered valuable insights for global digital education initiatives.
