On May 9, WHU and the China Academy of Space Technology signed an agreement of strategic collaboration, aiming to carry out all round cooperation including joint research, education, staff exchange and technology transfer.

Prof. LI Xiaohong, president of Wuhan University, and Prof. YANG Baohua, president of the China Academy of Space Technology, signed the agreement and gave remarks respectively on behalf of the two parties. Prof. LIU Jingnan, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Prof. LI Qingquan, executive vice president of WHU, and Prof. JIANG Changzhong, vice president of WHU, also attended the ceremony.

According to the agreement, the two parties, as strategic partners, will strive to develop substantial scientific collaboration, frequent academic exchanges, joint teaching programs, sharing of research results, and reciprocal support in terms of space technology programs sponsored by the state.
