On January 8th, three alumni, Li Jiejun, Zhao Qing and Hu Guoqing, all graduated from WHU’s School of Journalism and Communication, were conferred China’s top photography award. After winning the award, they expressed their gratitude for their alma meter—WHU, “the entire achievement should be attributed to WHU which nurtured us.”
In 1980s, WHU launched a news photography class, during the time when Liu Daoyu was in his presidency. Most of the graduates have become the backbone of Chinese photography circle and frequented the photography award ceremony. WHU alumni’s excellent performance at 10th Chinese Photography Award showcases their outstanding skills as photographers.
China’s top photography award ceremony is held biennially and only the best photographers stand out in the fierce competition to win a title.
