Prof. Cheng Hong, a PhD in Economics and doctor supervisor, is the director of Wuhan University Institute of Quality Development Strategy and editor-in-chief of Macro-quality Research. He is a pioneering figure in the industry of “Macro-quality Management” in China, publishing the first academic monograph Macro-quality Management. He was nominated for the first “China Quality Award” in 2013, the awardee of “Light of Quality” Top Ten Figures in Quality Industry in 2012 and 2013 respectively and “Advanced Individual” of National Quality Research during 2009 to 2010.
As the chief expert in major bidding projects funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China, Prof. Cheng serves as the project leader of more than 10 scientific research projects, making great achievements in scientific research approved by national leadership, ministries and commissions. He is also among a group of experts working on Quality Development Outline of the State Council as well as the team leader reviewing the outline of National Quality Demonstration City. In 2014, the “National Monitoring and Evaluation of Cloud Data Center” proposed by Prof Cheng was listed as one of seven national-level Cloud Data Center by Wuhan Municipal Government, serving as the new engine driving economic and social development of Wuhan.
Prof. Cheng is also the lecturer for theoretical study of the Party Committee Center Group and workshops tailored for government officials in more than 10 provinces and cities including Guangdong and Hubei Province. “Advanced Workshop” launched by him has become a famous brand in cultivating advanced macro-quality management talents nationwide.
