Lei Aiwen Wins Young Chemist Award

Wuhan University chemistry professor Lei Aiwen was one of four recipients of the “Chinese Chemical Society - Royal Society of Chemistry of Young Chemist Award”. The award ceremony will be held during the 29th academic annual meeting of the Chinese Chemical Society.

Lei Aiwen research is devoted to studying new bonding modes. He has been a corresponding author on more than 100 SCI-published theses. Li Aiwen has also consistently been recognized as an up and coming scholar.  He was selected as the Luojia distinguished professor in 2007 and the WHU Outstanding Youth in 2009. He received the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2010 and was awarded the Hubei Province first prize for Natural Science research in 2012.

Founded in 2007, the Chinese Chemical Society - Royal Society of Chemistry Young Chemist Award biannually awards 4 distinguished researchers under the age of 40 who make great contributions to basic research and applied chemistry. The purpose of the award is to encourage innovation and exploration among young chemists in China.
