To promote the friendship and strengthen the bond between students and teachers, Liu Sheng，the dean of our school, and the vice dean Guo Jiang played basketball with parts of the juniors on Dec 10th. This game lasted two hours from three to five pm and it was very exciting and tight but interesting and diverting.
At the beginning of the first section, Mr. Liu scored first withperimeter shotand hit the basket many times so that teachers’ team had ten points ahead. However, students’ team wasn’t in a condition at that time, scoring only four points until the first section ended. And then, the second section started with the score of 14:4. The juniors got themselves in the mood gradually and kept offense but teachers’ team didn’t lose scores until Mr. Guo’s hook shot. When the referee declared first half came to an end, the score was 24:14 and teachers’ team still had ten points ahead.
After that, Mr. Liu and Mr. Guo scored constantly. On the other hand, students’ team made many mistakes carelessly. After constant offenses between two teams, teachers’ team had fourteen points ahead consequently. The last section was the most wonderful part. The juniors didn’t give up and caught every chance to fight back. Finally, teachers’ team won the game with rich experience. The score was 54:43 when the expiration of the game ended.
This after-class basketball game was amazing. It not only closed the gap between students and teachers but also enhanced the sports environment. More students will do sports in their daily life.
