Stop Using Smart Phones

(Edited by: Yingchao Xiong) Recent decades have witnessed the prosperity of intelligent products, and it is now an ordinary phenomenon in university that every student possesses a smart phone, which serves as a marvelous tool to provide convenience and assistance. However, each coin has two sides. An increasing number of students tend to be addicted to their cell phones.

On the road, it is normal to see that some students are completely concentrating on their mobile phones while even ignoring their safety. In the classroom and dormitory, some students are entirely indulged in the online games or chatting and seldom setting aside time for schoolwork. All these phenomena reflect such an ironic reality that phones get the unprecedented popularity and the majority of students are overusing them.

Unmistakably, the excessive use of smart phones exerts detrimental impact on the health of us. What is worse, it would perform a negative character both in academic performance and interpersonal relationship since we have spent the majority of our spare time on the easily addictive online games and magnanimous but useless information as well as plenty of futile daily chatting.

Since all the time spent on overusing intelligent products cannot be paid off, it is time that we attach great importance to stopping excessive use of mobile phones. Frankly, there are three aspects of measures in total. Above all, in the aspect of individual, we all must have a profound understanding of the disadvantages of smart phones and learn to use them appropriately with self-discipline. As for the aspect of friends, when meeting a friend who is buried in smart phone, we are supposed to dissuade him out. Last but not the least, the authority of school can establish some institutions so as to launch relevant campaigns to limit the excessive use of smart phones and appeal to the students to put the emphasis on study.

Put down your phone and you will find a brilliant world around.
