On December 27, Uichiro Niwa, the Japanese Ambassador to China, paid a visit to Wuhan University. He was warmly received by Zhou Chuangbing, WHU’s Vice President. And then Ambassador Niwa held a discussion with WHU’s Japanese language students.
At their meeting, Zhou introduced WHU and its Japanese program, including exchanges between WHU and Japan, and WHU’s Japanese language courses. Mr. Niwa praised WHU’s efforts on exchanges with Japanese education institutions.
So far, WHU has signed cooperative agreements with over 20 Japanese education institutions to carry out cooperation such as teaching staff exchanges, student exchanges and research cooperation. Besides the academic cooperation and the visit of Ambassador Niwa, many other Japanese government officials and business leaders also have visited WHU.
