Wan Qingxiang, born in Jingzhou, Hubei Province in November 1965 started his career in February 1987. Now, he is the vice-chair of the University Council and secretary of Committee for Discipline Inspection in Wuhan University.
From September 1984 to February 1987, he studied in the Department of Chemistry of the former Jingzhou Normal College. From February 1987 to October 2007, he worked as the deputy director and then director of Student Affairs Department of the China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), namely CUG (Wuhan). Meanwhile, he studied in CUG (Wuhan) from September 1994 to July 2002, and successively received his bachelor's degree in education and master's degree in management. From July 2007 to October 2012, he served as Director of the Party Committee Office, Director of the President Office, and news spokesman of CUG (Wuhan). From July 2012 to October 2017, he served as member of the University Council Standing Committee and vice-president of CUG (Wuhan). From October 2017 to October 2018, he served as the vice-chair of the University Council and secretary of Committee for Discipline Inspection in Zhongnan University of Economics and Law. Now he is appointed as the vice-chair of the University Council and secretary of Committee for Discipline Inspection in WHU.
Since he entered workplace , he has published more than 30 papers in the field, such as ideological and political education of college students, higher education administration and so on. He is also the editor of 5 textbooks, among which the book College Students' Career Developmenthas been reprinted 7 times and more than 30,000 volumes are published. He has undertaken more than 10 research projects of various types. He was awarded the third prize of Award for Science and Technology Progress of Sinopec Group in 2002, the third prize of Award for Science and Technology Progress of Hubei Province in 2008, and the first prize (ranked the third) of Award for Higher Education Teaching Achievement of Hubei Province in 2009.
Social Affiliations: the registered senior assessor of National Occupational Skill Testing, vice chairman of Party Building in Colleges Research Association of Hubei Province, and executive vice president of University Leadership Science Research Association of Hubei Province.
